Uzbekistan, Tajikistan improve border mobile network

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Tajikistan have carried out joint work to improve the quality of mobile communication in border areas, according to relevant agencies of the two countries.

At the invitation of the Communications Service of Tajikistan, specialists from the Center for Electromagnetic Compatibility of Uzbekistan visited the neighboring country and, together with Tajik colleagues, conducted an assessment of mobile network performance in several cities.

Over several days, experts monitored the radio frequency spectrum in the 2300 MHz range, identifying sources of signals that could cause mutual interference across adjacent territories.

As a result of the work, the parties agreed on technical parameters for network operation and reduced the level of mutual radio interference. This is expected to have a positive effect on mobile service quality in the cities of Tursunzoda, Shahrinav, and Gissar.

Relevant agencies noted that such coordination contributes to improving the stability of telecommunications services in border areas and supports the integration of the digital infrastructure of the two countries.
