Premier air conditioner plant opens in Ahangaran Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new household appliance manufacturing plant under the Premier brand, specializing in air conditioners, has been launched in the Ahangaran district of Tashkent region. The official opening ceremony took place at the Eltech Industrial technopark.

The project was implemented in partnership with Fajr Al Mustaqbal General Trading company from the United Arab Emirates. Total investment in the enterprise amounted to US$30 million.

The production site covers an area of 10 hectares and is designed to create 250 jobs. According to projections, once operating at full capacity, the enterprise will be able to generate annual exports worth around US$4 million and substitute imports by approximately US$87 million.

The plant’s output is intended for both the domestic market and export. Premier air conditioners are planned to be supplied to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Afghanistan, expanding the geographical reach of Uzbekistan’s electrical engineering industry.

It is noted that earlier this year, the President of Uzbekistan reviewed the project during a visit to the Ahangaran district and issued instructions on developing the electrical engineering sector, deepening localization of production, and increasing export potential.
