Uzbekistan’s Toshtemirov wins silver at Asian Weightlifting Championships

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the ongoing Asian Weightlifting Championships in the Indian city of Gandhinagar, Uzbekistan’s national team has added another medal to its tally.

Muhammadqodir Toshtemirov won the silver medal in the snatch discipline in the men’s 94 kg weight category.

During his performance, the Uzbek athlete recorded a lift of 166 kg, which secured him second place in the discipline and contributed to the national team’s medal count at the tournament.

Toshtemirov continues his participation in the competition and is set to compete in the clean and jerk, as well as in the combined total standings, where overall medal winners will be determined.
