Uzbekistan Wins Four Medals at Asian Modern Pentathlon C’ship

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan national team won four medals at the Asian Youth Modern Pentathlon Championships held in Yogyakarta from 12 to 16 May, including one gold and three silver medals.

The gold medal in the U17 individual category was claimed by Mehriniso Kahramonova.

The silver medals were won by Samira Abzalova in the U19 individual event; Muhammadamin Sultonbekov and Mehriniso Kahramonova in the U17 mixed relay competition; and Mehriniso Kahramonova together with Sabina Yuldasheva and Muziyaana Muratalieva in the U17 team event.

The strong performance by Uzbek athletes at the continental championship reflects the steady development of modern pentathlon in the country and the preparation of a promising youth sports reserve.
