Uzbekistan’s Mirziyoyev to attend World Urban Forum in Baku

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Baku on 17–18 May at the invitation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

During the visit, the Uzbek leader will participate in and deliver a speech at the Leaders’ Summit within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum, held under the auspices of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme.

The forum is dedicated to pressing issues of sustainable urban development, provision of affordable housing, improvement of urban living conditions, strengthening climate resilience, and enhancing mechanisms for financing the housing sector.

The visit program also includes a series of bilateral meetings and negotiations with heads of foreign delegations.
