Uzbekistan’s Anvar Anvarov wins bronze at Diamond League

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The new season of the prestigious athletics series, the Diamond League, opened in Shanghai, where Uzbekistan’s Anvar Anvarov won the bronze medal in the men’s long jump.

In the final, Anvarov recorded a best jump of 8.01 meters, which secured him third place and a spot on the podium.

The competition was won by Italian athlete Mattia Furlani with a result of 8.43 meters. Second place went to Bulgaria’s Bozhidar Saraboyukov, who jumped 8.07 meters.

For the Uzbek athlete, this result marks a strong start to the season at one of the most competitive international athletics events.
