Uzbekistan to Launch Hajj Season 2026 on 2 May Officially
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Hajj season for 2026 in Uzbekistan will begin on 2 May, according to the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the country.
Pilgrims will be sent to Medina through 18 May. Flights are scheduled from nine cities across Uzbekistan, including Tashkent, Namangan, Ferghana, Andijan, Samarkand, Bukhara, Karshi, Termez and Urgench. Transport to Saudi Arabia will be operated by flyadeal, while return flights will be carried out by Uzbekistan Airways.
Before departure, all pilgrims are required to undergo medical examinations and receive necessary vaccinations, including immunization against meningitis.
Group leaders responsible for organizational support will be appointed to accompany pilgrims throughout the journey.
Each participant will be provided with a standard kit that includes a “Hajj — a Great Event” guidebook, a bag, a vest, an umbrella, a thermos, a Saudi SIM card, and a mobile phone charger. Recommendations for pilgrims are also available on the official resources of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims.
Earlier, in early March, air connections with Saudi Arabia and several Middle Eastern countries were temporarily suspended. During that period, around 21,000 citizens of Uzbekistan, mostly Umrah pilgrims, were returned on repatriation flights.
The Ministry of Transport later approved the resumption of regular flights to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates starting March 10, while emphasizing the need to comply with permitted stay durations in the Kingdom.
According to a government resolution, registration for Hajj has been conducted exclusively through a dedicated online portal since February 1, while a similar system for Umrah will be introduced from May 1. Unregistered pilgrims will not be allowed to travel.
