Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Bishkek International Tourism Fair 2026 is taking place in the Kyrgyz capital from 30 April to 2 May, with Uzbekistan participating through a national stand and active engagement in one of the key B2B and B2C platforms of the tourism industry.
The national exposition brings together tour operators, health resort and sanatorium institutions, representatives of the handicraft sector, as well as a delegation from the historical Axsikent complex.
The focus is placed on promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, its historical and cultural heritage, modern infrastructure, and a wide range of tourism services.
Visitors are provided with information about key tourist destinations in the country, including Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva.
Special emphasis is placed on ecological, pilgrimage, wellness, and gastronomic tourism, which are driving growing international interest in the region.
A significant part of the exposition is dedicated to traditional handicrafts, as well as projects related to the tourism development of the Axsikent complex, reflecting the country’s historical and cultural traditions.
Within the framework of the event, the Uzbek delegation is holding a series of meetings with foreign partners, discussing the launch of new tourism routes, joint projects, and the expansion of international cooperation.
During the exhibition, the National PR Center and the State Agency for Tourism Development under the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan signed a memorandum of cooperation.
Participation in BITF 2026 is seen as an important step toward strengthening Uzbekistan’s position in the international tourism market, entering new destinations, and increasing inbound tourist flows.
