Uzbekistan Participates in BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Delhi
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation of Uzbekistan participated in the meeting of foreign ministers of BRICS member states held in Delhi on 14–15 May 2026, according to information released following the country’s participation in the international diplomatic forum.
Uzbekistan was represented at the event by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bahromjon Aliev.
As part of the visit program, heads of foreign delegations were received by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting the high level of political representation at the meeting.
During the discussions, the Uzbek side presented its position on key issues on the BRICS agenda. Special attention was given to innovation-driven development as a component of sustainable economic growth, as well as prospects for reforming the global governance system and strengthening the role of multilateral international institutions.
It was also noted that Uzbekistan’s foreign policy course, based on openness and pragmatic regional cooperation, contributes to strengthening good-neighborly relations and forming a more stable security environment in the region.
