AGMK Launches Kauldy Gold Processing Plant in Almalyk

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new gold processing plant, “Kauldy,” has been commissioned in Almalyk at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AGMK), aimed at expanding the company’s production capacity and increasing the processing of gold-bearing raw materials.

The project was implemented using the company’s internal resources. According to reports, all technological equipment and construction works were carried out using AGMK’s own capabilities, which is seen as a result of its localization program and a demonstration of the enterprise’s engineering potential.

The launch ceremony was attended by the management of the complex, foreign partners, representatives of the Almalyk city administration, industry veterans, and members of the public. After the official part of the event, participants were introduced to the production facilities and working conditions at the new site.

According to the enterprise, AGMK Chief Engineer Sergey Larionov reported to Board Chairman Abdulla Khursanov on the commissioning of the plant, after which the facility began operations and produced its first concentrate.

The new plant will process ore from the Kauldy and Kuyi-Kenjasa deposits. The designed capacity of the facility is up to 200,000 tons of ore per year. A second stage of expansion is planned in the future.

It is separately noted that the project includes the construction of an administrative and amenity complex, a canteen, showers, and a security post. A significant portion of the technological equipment, including flotation machines, mills, hydrocyclones, classifiers, conditioning tanks, and thickeners, was manufactured at AGMK’s central repair and mechanical plant.

The implementation of the project has created 151 new jobs and contributed to the development of the enterprise’s production and social infrastructure.
