Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Uzbekistan took part in the Third Uzbekistan–China Interregional Cooperation Forum and the Tenth International Silk Road Exhibition, held from 21 to 25 May in Xi’an, China.

The delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev. During the forum, the Tashkent Mining and Metallurgical Complex (TMK) presented Uzbekistan’s potential in the field of critical minerals and high value-added products.

An Uzbek national pavilion, covering an area of more than 2,000 square meters, showcased the country’s export and investment potential in mining, metallurgy, the chemical industry, as well as sericulture and handicrafts.

During the forum, TMK held negotiations with several major international companies. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation and reached a number of preliminary agreements.

It was also announced that Uzbekistan’s national pavilion would be launched on the international Alibaba.com platform, alongside the start of the “100 Alibaba accelerators” program.

These initiatives are aimed at expanding opportunities for Uzbek manufacturers, including TMK, to access global e-commerce markets.
