Uzbekistan approves aviation protocol with Jordan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution on 14 May 2026 approving a protocol on amendments to the intergovernmental air services agreement between Uzbekistan and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The protocol was signed in Samarkand on 26 August 2025 and introduces amendments to the basic air services agreement covering air transport between and beyond the territories of the two countries, originally concluded on 24 November 1996.
The Ministry of Transport has been designated as the competent authority responsible for the practical implementation of the international agreement.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to send an official notification to the Jordanian side confirming that Uzbekistan has completed all necessary domestic procedures for the document’s entry into force, as well as to inform it of the designated responsible agency.
