Uzbekistan appoints presidential culture envoy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has appointed a presidential representative for cultural affairs, the president’s press secretary Sherzod Asadov said.

Under a decree signed by the head of state, Giyosiddin Qutbiddinovich Rejabov has been appointed to the post.

Prior to his appointment, Rejabov served as head of a sector within the Department for Creative Economy and Tourism of the Presidential Administration.

The appointment is part of personnel changes in the system of governance overseeing the cultural sector and the creative economy.
