Uzbekistan and Czech Republic Sign Major Agreements
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Following high-level negotiations between President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babiš in Tashkent, the parties signed a Joint Declaration aimed at deepening and expanding bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The document confirms the intention of both sides to elevate bilateral relations to a new level of engagement covering key areas of economic, industrial and technological partnership.
During the visit, a ceremony was also held to sign a package of bilateral agreements. These agreements cover cooperation in the fields of economy, industry, science and technology, and also provide for collaboration in the training of diplomatic personnel.
Separate arrangements include joint design and support for the establishment of a metrology laboratory, development of scientific and innovative cooperation in the field of metrology, collaboration in the geological sector, and the supply of electric trains.
