Uzbekistan and China expand textile sector digitalization

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan Textile Industry Association “Uztextileprom” and Chinese company Shaoxing Huangxi Intelligent Group have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing cooperation in the digitalization and modernization of Uzbekistan’s textile industry.

During the visit and negotiations, representatives of Uztextileprom and the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry also participated in discussions. The sides reviewed prospects for introducing automation and digital solutions to improve the efficiency of production processes in the sector.

Representatives of the Chinese company also visited the MS Barer-Textile enterprise, where they became familiar with current production processes and assessed opportunities for implementing modern technological solutions.

Under the agreement, cooperation will be developed through experience sharing, technical consultations, and pilot projects aimed at improving the technological level of enterprises.

The signing of the memorandum is seen as a step toward strengthening practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in the modernization and digital transformation of the textile sector.
