EDB to host annual meeting and Eurasia 2030+ forum in Kazakhstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Annual Meeting and Business Forum of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) will take place in Almaty on 25–26 June 2026. The event is expected to serve as one of the key international platforms for discussing investment opportunities and long-term development strategies in the Eurasian region.

Delegations from 15 countries are expected to participate, including representatives of multilateral development banks, government institutions, international businesses, and the expert community.

The central event of the business program will be the plenary session titled “Eurasia 2030+: Investments, Growth and New Opportunities,” which will focus on prospects for economic cooperation and expanding investment activity in the region.

According to Nikolay Podguzov, Chairman of the Management Board of the EDB, the Eurasian region is currently at the center of global economic transformation.

“We are witnessing growing interest from international investors in infrastructure projects, transport corridors, energy, and the digital economy. The Annual Meeting and Business Forum of the EDB create a space for open dialogue and joint search for solutions that help unlock the region’s investment potential,” he said.

The business program will cover a wide range of topics, including global economic trends, sustainable development investment, digital transformation, prospects for Islamic finance in Central Asia, and the development of transport and logistics infrastructure, including the potential of the Eurasian transport framework.

Special attention will be given to the Bank’s practical instruments. Participants will be presented with ongoing investment projects, opportunities from the Technical Assistance Fund, as well as new analytical studies and forecasts.

The forum will also feature business negotiations, signing of agreements, and several press events, including a press conference dedicated to the EDB Annual Report and Sustainability Report.

An exhibition will be organized for participants, showcasing key areas of the Bank’s activities, including EDB projects, public-private partnership programs, educational initiatives of the EDB Academy, and projects of the Digital Initiatives Fund and Technical Assistance Fund.
