Uzbekistan Airways Introduces Apple Pay and Google Pay

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan Airways, the national carrier of Uzbekistan, has introduced payment options using international payment services Apple Pay and Google Pay, expanding its digital services for passengers. The new feature is available on the airline’s official website and mobile application.

The company stated that the integration of widely used global payment systems is aimed at improving customer convenience and speeding up the ticket booking process. It noted that passengers can now complete payments without manually entering bank card details, using built-in authentication mechanisms instead.

Uzbekistan Airways emphasized that transactions are processed using modern data protection technologies, including tokenization and encryption, which are intended to enhance the security of users’ financial operations.

The airline said the integration of Apple Pay and Google Pay is part of its broader digitalization strategy and is designed to reduce ticketing time and simplify the user experience in travel planning.
