Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A magnitude 4 earthquake was recorded in the Jondor district of Bukhara Region on 22 May, according to the Republican Center for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring.

The tremors occurred at 10:44:25 local time. The epicenter was located in the Jondor district at a depth of 10 kilometers, with coordinates of 40.26° north latitude and 63.11° east longitude.

The intensity of the tremors across Uzbekistan was reported as 2–3 points in the city of Gazli at a distance of 32 km, 2 points in Peshkun district at 44 km, 2 points in Karakul district at 54 km, and 2 points in Jondor district at 60 km.

The distance from the epicenter to the capital, Tashkent, was 526 kilometers in a south-western direction.
