Zo’r-zo’r Star receives special prize of TEFI-Commonwealth
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Third international television festival TEFI-Commonwealth has been held in Odessa, Ukraine.

The topic of the festival this year was “Modern formats of entertainment programmes at television of the CIS states”. The programme of the festival included works of various genres – talk-show, reality-show, TV-games, TV shows, etc.

TV project Zo’r-zo’r Star of Forum-TV (Uzbekistan) was awarded with the special prize at the closing ceremony of TEFI-Commonwealth.

The festival is organized by Fund “Academy of Russian Television”. The event was held at the support of Intergovernmental fund for humanitarian cooperation of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Federal Agency for Print and Mass Communication of Russia and Governor of Odessa region Eduar Matviychuk.

Over 50 works were submitted to the festival. In the result of qualification round, 12 works of 12 television channels of 12 countries were selected to the finals, including from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Moldavia, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.

About 50 representatives of the CIS television companies arrived in Odessa to participate in the work of the festival.

It is worth to mention that TV anchor Shahnoza Ganieva from Uzbekistan was a member of the jury of the festival.

Youth musical television project Zo’r-zo’r Star was organized by Fund Forum and Beeline. The project was held within several months and ended with a gala-concert in Tashkent on 7 June 2013.

Ulugbek Holikov won the Zo’r-zo’r Star project, collecting 63,445 SMS in the final. He won chance to record a video clip and solo album, as well as contract with producer center. Another participant Roman Petrov won a special prize. He received chance to study at the Russian university.
