Young web developers receive awards
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A presentation and awarding of the winners of the competition on web developments among students of higher and secondary educational establishments was held at the Tashkent IT University.

The competition was held within May. The competition was organized by the ICT-volunteers of the UNDP ICTP project.

Hurshida Komilova, volunteer ICTP project, said the project is aimed at improving interest of the Uzbek youth to web-technologies and ICT as a whole, reveal youth with good ICT skills.

The competition was announced in April 2010 and the ICTP volunteers presented the projects in higher and secondary educational establishments. It is necessary to note that teams and individuals participated at the competition.

Kumushoy Abduraimova, ICTP volunteer, said the similar technical tasks was given to all, thus to create website for noncommercial organizations. Two-weeks were allocated for development of the website and all participants presented their works. Jury selected the best works.

The jury gave the first place to Dina Pernabekova (International Westminister University in Tashkent), Denis Shlyapnikov (Tashkent IT University) and Aleksander Lee (team work). Aleksei Nabok from Computer Technologies Professional College won the second place.

Andrei Kotenyatkin from Computer Technologies Professional College also received encouraging prize, the ICTP said.
