Young families receive 23.6bn soums to develop their business
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Commercial banks of Uzbekistan pay great attention to financial support of small businesses and private entrepreneurs, especially family businesses and financing business projects of graduates of educational establishments.

As of 1 May 2012, the volume of loans, issued to young families to launch their businesses, made up 23.6 billion soums, and to finance business plans of college graduates – 12.6 billion soums of preferential microloans, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan said.

The banks also allocated loans for 129.5 billion soums to ensure employment of women. To develop family business and craftsmanship, the banks rendered microfinance services worth 24 billion soums. The bank issued 20.8 billion soums to buy cattle. Small businesses and farms got 142.5 billion soums to develop production of agriculture goods and their processing, poultry, beekeeping and fishing.

Commercial banks are adopting measures to attract over 5 trillion soums, including 1 trillion soums for micro crediting, to support business entities and their business plans.

Currently, commercial banks of Uzbekistan are implementing projects for 272 billion soums, directed at social protection of young family, render them material and moral support, including with habitation. In 2012-2013, the banks will finance construction of 100 houses, which consist of 48 flats each. The bank issue mortgage loans on preferential loans to young families.

The banks also adopt measures on allocating consumer loans to young families. In 2012, it is planned to allocate 30 billion soums of consumer loans to population.
