The 15th anniversary of cooperation between Yaroslavl region and Uzbekistan has been devoted a visit of Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Russia Bahtiyor Islamov and Ambassador of Russia to Uzbekistan Farida Muhametshin.

Visitors have discussed a wide range of questions concerning further cooperation during meetings in Yaroslavl region’s administration, in commercial and industrial chamber, and also in Yaroslavl Electrical Machine-building Plant Eldin and in Rybinsk company Saturn - enterprises, business contacts with which Uzbek businessmen have supported long years. Together with diplomats to Yaroslavl there have arrived representatives of the Central Asian business.

Bahtier Islamov has expressed concern that in 2006 trade turnover with Yaroslavl region has made just US$5 million - less than last years. A would-be recession the ambassador has explained that, when giving due to traditionally delivered goods of the region, a clap and textile materials, Yaroslavl businessmen while have insufficiently estimated Uzbek production of a new level. For example, Yaroslavl car market would only win from updating it by cheaper and quite modern cars of "UZ DAEWOO".
