Yandex Uzbekistan Hosts Lecture Series for Computer Science Teachers at InfoTeach Forum

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the nationwide InfoTeach forum for computer science teachers, Yandex Uzbekistan organized a series of lectures and practical sessions focused on motivating talented students, preparing schoolchildren for competitive programming contests, and applying artificial intelligence technologies in education, along with the ethical considerations that come with their use.

The event was held with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, and the Center for the Development of Digital Education. Yandex Uzbekistan served as the forum’s main partner.

Among the keynote speakers was Inessa Shuikova, a member of the central subject-methodology commission of the All-Russian Olympiad in Informatics and a coach of national competition finalists. She shared her expertise in competitive programming, discussing strategies for identifying and supporting gifted students, as well as methods for preparing them for Olympiads.

Alexander Pavolotsky, academic director of Yandex’s school programs, delivered a lecture on the role of artificial intelligence in modern education. He provided a detailed explanation of how machine learning algorithms function, presented real-world classroom applications of AI, and emphasized the ethical implications of integrating such technologies into the learning process.

Roman Nikitin, a teaching methodologist, gave a talk on motivating students with low levels of engagement. His session offered evidence-based approaches, debunked common myths, and introduced practical tools designed to increase students’ interest in learning.

In addition, participants took part in an interactive game titled Think Like a Student, developed by Yandex Uzbekistan specialists. Through gameplay, teachers reinforced key IT concepts, exchanged experiences, and discovered new opportunities for professional collaboration.
