Yandex Eats service launched in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Yandex Eats, a service for ordering cooked food from restaurants and products from shops with delivery to home or office, is now available in Tashkent. Users can order through the Yandex Eats app or in the Eats section of Yandex Go, already familiar to many city residents. The service is available in five countries, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Armenia.

More than 250 restaurants across the city have already joined Yandex Eats, including FeedUp, Bon!, Oqtepa Lavash, Yaponamama and many others. Along with this, users can choose goods from a catalogue of shops: food, drinks, flowers, gifts. Among the available shops are The Loaf, EcoVkuz, GOODVEEN Flowers House, Red Dragon, Hobby Games and others. The list of partners will continue to grow, and with it, the variety of food and merchandise available for ordering.

"We see great potential for the development of Yandex Eats in Uzbekistan. This is one of the important markets for Yandex Go, where many people are already familiar with the brand. The restaurant business is well developed here, with not everyone having their own delivery. Therefore, for partners and users, we are ready to offer a high-quality and technological service that will help make food and grocery delivery another convenient and fast daily scenario for city residents," says Natalia Loza, Head of International Development at Yandex Eats.

The average waiting time for an order from the moment of ordering to delivery to the specified address will be 30 minutes. The service’s own technologies make it possible to optimise the usual mechanisms for working with partners and deliver orders faster. For example, for each address, the list of available restaurants includes establishments in the vicinity. The platform distributes the orders and constructs the best routes, taking into account the number of available couriers on the line. All steps can be monitored in the app, which alerts you to the current status of the order and the location of the courier.

The orders are delivered by couriers from partner logistics services and the restaurants’ own couriers. Part of the orders will be carried out by car, in order to get to remote areas more quickly.

A 24-hour helpdesk is available on the service. If the user is dissatisfied with the order or wants to ask a question, he can contact support via the app, and they will help him sort out the situation.

At the start, delivery of orders is free of charge for the user. Payment can be made by bank card linked to the user’s account in the app or in cash upon receipt of the order.

The free Yandex Eats app is available for iOS and Android in Uzbek, English, Russian and other languages.
