Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 September 2021, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in a videoconference format at the XVIII meeting of the Coordinating Council for Accounting of the CIS member States (Russian Federation).
The XVIII meeting of the Coordinating Council for Accounting of the CIS member States is held in the year of the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Commonwealth of Independent States and is dedicated to this significant date.
The meeting of the Coordinating Council was attended by members of the Coordinating Council – representatives of the bodies authorized by the CIS member states regulating accounting and audit issues from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and the Eurasian Economic Commission.
During the meeting, the tasks of the Coordinating Council for 2022 were defined. The participants of the meeting exchanged experience in the development of national regulatory systems:
accounting, including the introduction of International Financial Reporting Standards, as well as the implementation of the Agreement on the Consolidated Financial Statements of National Economic Entities;
audit activities, including the application of International Auditing Standards, the state of the audit services market in the CIS member states;
audit activities of the CIS member States in countering the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime and the financing of terrorism.
The participants of the Coordination Council meeting expressed their gratitude to the CIS Executive Committee for organizing the XVIII meeting of the Coordination Council.
