Within the framework of the Safe City project, US$4.1 million of foreign direct investment was used

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- By the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 29 August 2017 No. PP - 3245 "On measures to further improve the project management system in the field of information and communication technologies" in 2019-2023, a phased implementation of the Safe City project is planned in all regions of Uzbekistan.

Currently, in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 343 from 7 May 2018 "On the organization of phased measures and a unified technological approach for the implementation of the Safe City project, together with the expert group of an international consulting company (PWC) with the participation of relevant departments and ministries technical documents of the project were developed (Concept, Main Terms of Reference, Feasibility Study).

At the first stage, in 2019-2020, in the city of Tashkent, work is underway to create a Unified Technological Platform for the Safe City project with the attraction of foreign direct investment.

Based on this, all short numbers of emergency services in Tashkent - 101, 102, 103, 104, 1050, 1055 will be combined into a single center and work will be organized within the framework of the single service on the short number "112". As a result, an effective mechanism for coordinating the activities of emergency services will be created. The terms of reference for the implementation of the Unified Dispatch Service "112" in Tashkent have been developed.

At present, within the framework of the project for the implementation of an automated road safety system in the Tashkent region, a contract has been signed in the amount of 11.328 million euros. As of 1 July 2020, US$4.1 million of foreign direct investment has been spent.

As part of this project, mobile complexes for 19 Nexia-3 vehicles were installed and put into operation in the Tashkent region and the Fergana Valley.

In Shaykhantakhur district of Tashkent, within the framework of the Safe City pilot project, 898 intelligent video surveillance systems were installed and put into operation at 142 social facilities and places of accumulation.

In Tashkent, work is underway to select a partner company from a number of proposals and technical solutions to introduce a system of photo and video recording of traffic violations within the framework of the Safe City project.

In the free tourist zone "Charvak" in Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region, a project is being implemented to install more than 500 video surveillance cameras, radars and equipment for detecting illegal parking, and devices for photographing and video recording at the main intersections at 146 social facilities.

Within the framework of this project in the free tourist zone "Charvak" work is underway on the construction of fiber-optic communication lines, installation of a video surveillance system, delivery and installation of photo and video surveillance systems for road safety.
