Winston-Salem: Istomin advances to second round

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin advanced to the second round of ATP tournament in Winston-Salem (USA), defeating Donald Young of the USA in straight sets with the score 6:3 and 6:3.

The match lasted an hour and 15 minutes. Istomin recorded nine aces and three double faults, as well as five break points during the match.

In his turn, Young committed four double faults and won two serves of Istomin during the match.

In the second round, Denis Istomin will face Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France, who is currently world No. 19.
