WHO: over 393,000 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the world over the past day

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the World Health Organization, the number of people infected with coronavirus infection in the world is more than 181 million 930 thousand, of which more than 3 million 945 thousand people have died (as of 16:28 CET on 1 July 2021).

Over the past day, 393 657 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in the world. 8,097 patients died.

According to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University (as of 11:21 am Tashkent time on July 2, 2021), more than 182 million 645 thousand people have been infected in the world, of which more than 3 million 955 thousand have died.

The leader in the number of confirmed cases remains the United States, where, according to WHO, more than 33.317 million infected have been identified.

In second place is India (over 30.411 million), on the third - Brazil (more than 18.513 million), on the fourth - France (5.664 million), the fifth - Russia (5.538 million).

According to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University, more than 3 billion 091 million doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide.
