WHO: Over 13,000 people have died from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the World Health Organization, the number of people infected with coronavirus infection in the world is more than 103.99 million, of which more than 2 million 260 thousand people have died (as of 17:10 CET on February 4, 2021).

Over the past day, 464 613 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in the world, 13 004 patients have died.

According to current data from Johns Hopkins University (as of 09:22 am Tashkent time on February 5, 2021), more than 104 million 852 thousand people have been infected in the world, of which more than 2 million 282 thousand have died.

The leader in the number of confirmed cases remains the United States, where, according to WHO, more than 26.172 million infected have been identified. In second place is India (over 10.790 million), in third place is Brazil (over 9.283 million), in fourth - Russia (3.917 million), in fifth - Great Britain (3.871 million).

According to WHO, over the last 24 hours, 116,762 new cases were registered in the United States, 12,899 in India, 54,096 in Brazil, 16,714 in Russia and 19,202 in the UK.
