Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of remittances to Uzbekistan in 2022 will decrease by 21%, the World Bank experts forecasted this.
Earlier, the bank’s specialists predicted that the growth of remittances to Uzbekistan in 2022 would be 3%.
The World Bank notes that the decline in remittances is connected with the economic situation in Russia. According to the bank, 5% of remittances to Uzbekistan fell to share of Russia.
It should be noted that in 2021 Uzbekistan received remittances in the amount of US$8.1 billion against US$6 billion in 2020.
