The volume of remittances from Russia to Uzbekistan grew by 67.78% year-on-year from US$636 million to US$1.067 billion in the reporting period. Average remittance sum from Russia to Uzbekistan jumped from US$537 in the second quarter of 2010 to US$566 in the same period of 2011.
The Russian bank said that the remittances volume from Uzbekistan to Russia reached US$75 million in the second quarter of 2011 against US$54 million in the same period of 2010, and the average remittance sum – from US$1,351 to US$1,582.
Uzbekistan leads on the volume of transactions among the CIS states in the reporting period. Tajikistan and Ukraine followed Uzbekistan. The volume of Tajikistan and Ukraine with Russia made up US$774 million and US$663 million respectively in the reporting period.
According to Zolotaya Korona, the system accounted 42% of total remittances between Uzbekistan and Russia in the reporting period.
The Central Bank of Russia monitors such money transfer systems as Anelik, BLIZKO, Coinstar Money Transfer, Contact, InterExpress, Migom, MoneyGram, PrivatMoney, UNIStream, Western Union, Aziya Express, ALLYUR, Blitz, Bystraya Pochta, Zolotaya Korona and LIDER, as well as Pochta Rossii.
