Vocational training center to be launched in Samarkand
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Vocational training center will be created in Samarkand city with participation of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

The decision was adopted in line with the state programme “The Year of Well-Being and Prosperity” which was approved on 14 February 2013.

According to the programme, the Vocational training center will be created by the end of 2015 due to grant of the KOICA. The project cost is US$5.5 million.

The Vocational training center will be able to accept 240 people. The center will train and re-train unemployed people to professions, which are highly demanded in the labour market. This will help people to find jobs.

As reported earlier, the vocational training center has been launched in Sergeli district of Tashkent city. It was also opened at assistance of KOICA. The center has modern laboratory equipment, tools, educational instruments and manuals. There is also hostel for 100 places for those, who arrived from regions of Uzbekistan.

The state programme said that the vocational training center in Tashkent will train and re-train 600 unemployed people to professions demanded in machinery, electronics, car maintenances, information technologies till the end of 2013.
