Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 August 2021, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Ilhom Norkulov and Deputy Minister of Finance Odilbek Isakov held a videoconference with the French Development Agency Project Manager Come Dechery.

The meeting was also attended by the Director of the French Development Agency in Tashkent Vincent Caupin and representatives of the responsible departments of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction and the Ministry of Finance.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the transition to a "green economy" and the projects being formed in this regard, barriers to "green growth", active technological assistance, reforms in subsidy policy, customs policy, tax policy, public procurement, SDG bonds and public policy loan program.

In addition, representatives of the French Development Agency introduced proposals for developing a public policy loan program in the "green economy", the existing principles of transition to a "green economy", the "green budget", "green customs" policy, sustainable procurement, the concept of the program and its structure.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to further discuss these processes and expand cooperation.
