Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Russian state corporation VEB.RF is developing projects worth over 300 billion rubles (US$3.36 billion) as part of cooperation with Uzbekistan, the press service of VEB.RF said.
The VEB.RF State Corporation will continue cooperation with Uzbekistan on existing projects and will develop new partnerships. “Projects worth more than 300 billion rubles are at various stages of development,” notes the VEB.RF press service.
According to the corporation, VEB.RF is currently financing 21 export projects in Uzbekistan for a total amount of 157.7 billion rubles (US$1.76 billion).
The state corporation supported transactions for the supply of urban transport, municipal equipment and equipment for the electric power industry to Uzbekistan.
Large-scale projects are also planned in the development of the oil and gas and gas chemical industries, mining and metallurgy, as well as modernization of the electric power industry and gas transportation system.
VEB.RF supported the creation of an agrologistic complex in Jizzakh region with a processing capacity of about 260 thousand tons of agricultural products per year.
The agricultural complex will be engaged in the supply of Uzbek goods to the Russian market, processing food cargo from Russia and promoting Russian agricultural equipment in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the state corporation noted.
