Uzpromstroybank launch to conduct remittances with UNISTREAM
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- International money transfer system UNISTREAM and open joint stock commercial “Uzbek Industrial-construction bank” (Uzpromstroybank) successfully implemented integration process and launched money transfer on the system through branches of the bank in Uzbekistan.

The project implementation allowed UNISTREAM to increase its network in Uzbekistan by over 60 points. With headquarters in Tashkent, the bank has offices in all large cities of Uzbekistan, including Samarkand, Bukhara, Ferghana and Andijan.

After project realization, the customs will have access to addressed and addressless remittances, UNISTREAM said.

UNISTREAM PR-Director Maks Ognev said that UNISTREAM conducts active policy on development of its network in the CIS states, including in Uzbekistan. He said that the system cooperates with 14 financial institutes in Uzbekistan with network of 2,000 service points.

Ognev underlined that being one of the leaders in Post-Soviet space, the system actively develops its CIS network and offers all new options like unique combined addressed and addressless remittances, as well as transfer to banking accounts. He added that introduction of unified client cards is underway, which will lift service quality to new level.

UNISTREAM said that the volume of remittances to Uzbekistan rose to US$197 million in the third quarter and US$435 million in nine months of 2010. Number of UNISTREAM transactions into Uzbekistan increased to 705,000 in January-September 2010.
