The Global Compact is a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible business practices. The Treaty is significant in that it calls on companies around the world to pursue a sustainable and socially responsible policy.

Under the Global Compact, companies are integrating with UN agencies, labor collectives and civil society.
Currently, this largest corporate initiative in the world community includes more than 15,000 companies and about 4,000 non-profit organizations located in over 160 countries.
The activities and strategies of member companies are aligned with ten universally recognized principles in areas such as human rights, labour, environmental protection and the fight against corruption.
In addition, the organization invests heavily in supporting the activities of member companies towards the Sustainable Development Goals.
