The operator published a coverage zone of GSM network in Tashkent city and Tashkent region on 14 April. Uzmobile will launch its GSM network into commercial exploitation on 15 April.

The network of national mobile operator Uzmobile will support the 4G technology in Tashkent city and Ulugbek village of Qibray district of Tashkent region.

In other settlements of Tashkent region will work networks of 2G and 3G technologies. It is worth to mention that network of Uzmobile will support 3G network in 37 settlements in Tashkent region.

The operator said that subscribers will be able to subscribe to Uzmobile at all sales offices of Uztelecom across Uzbekistan after 14:00 of 15 April.

The operator will offer several tariff plans for individuals, corporate clients and budget organizations. The company will also propose internet packages.

President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution “On measures on organization of the activities of national operator of mobile communication” on 12 February 2014.

Branch of Uzbektelecom, Uzmobile, received status of national operator of mobile communication of Uzbekistan, which should develop mobile communication services and GSM network across Uzbekistan, as well as ensure information security.

In line with the resolution, Uzmobile will develop GSM network across Uzbekistan. The operator plans to expand GSM network across Uzbekistan in 2016-2017 with introduction of 2G/3G and 4G technologies.

At the same time, UzMobile will continue to use and further develop CDMA-450 EV-DO network. This year, the company plans to expand CDMA network.

Uzmobile will offer comfortable tariff plans and quality services with using advantages of both CDMA and GSM/LTE standards.

According to data of operator, currently CDMA network covers 85% of settlements. Number of subscribers is about 500,000 users. The estimated market share of Uzmobile is 2.3%.
