The growth rate of goods production in comparable prices made up 1.4% compared to the same period of 2009.

The company produced 176,000 tonnes of steel in the reporting period, which is up 0.8% year-on-year, Uzmetkombinat said.

Uzmetkombinat produced 168,200 tonnes of ferrous metals, while the forecast for the first quarter was 152, 500 tonnes. It also manufactured 42,200 tonnes of mill balls.

The company produced consumer goods for 4 billion soums and fully fulfilled forecast. The growth rate made up 6.4% year-on-year.

The enterprise also expanded geography of exports. The company has deals on supply of goods to Turkmenistan, Iran, UAE, and Kazakhstan. Uzmetkombinat is working on signing deal with Afghanistan.
