This event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and Karate Federation of the Republic of Karakalpakstan to promote the sport among young people, providing physical and spiritual development of children, the further involvement of girls in sports and formation of a healthy lifestyle in the society.

It was noted that sports is most important and strong factor in the education of harmoniously developed generation- the future of our country. Bused on this purpose, various opportunities are created to grow up a healthy and strong generation.

The ongoing work in this sphere was discussed in detail at the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Children’s Sports Development Fund of Uzbekistan, chaired by President Islam Karimov.

In particular, today 47% of girls, including 44.7% in rural areas regularly engage in sports. Special attention, according to UzLiDeP opinion, must further continue this work. As the President of our country noted that looking at girls, we see future mothers who will give life and educate future generations – the hope and support of our people. That is, if a girl is healthy and happy, her family and children will also be healthy and happy. Healthy and happy family leads to a prosperous and healthy society.

- In our region there are more than 3 thousand sports facilities, - said chairman of the Karakalpak Council of UzLiDeP S. Turmanov. - In these sports regularly engage 334,176 thousands of children, including 163,658 thousands girls.

In the first half of previous year, young people from Karakalpakstan have won 120 gold, 142 silver and 209 bronze medals. In Asian Championships and world cups, our youth won 8 gold, 21 silver, 15 bronze medals. We can be proud of the achievements of our youth in sport.

At the sports tournament girls 8-17 years have demonstrated their skill on the Shotokan Karate-do. At the end of the sports tournament, the participants received memorable gifts and prizes from UzLiDeP.
