The Uzbek side informed the Indonesian envoy about rich historic and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, development of tourism sector of Uzbekistan. It was said that share of Uzbekistan in global tourism sector makes up 0.19% despite significant potential of the country. Over 2.02 million foreigners visit Uzbekistan each year.

Indonesian envoy said that development of tourism is important direction of international relations of Indonesia, including with Uzbekistan.

Ambassador highly rated tourism infrastructure in Uzbekistan, in particular, in Samarkand and Bukhara, the press service of Uzbektourism said.

Head of Uzbektourism invited Indonesian experts to hold training in Uzbekistan, which was accepted by the Indonesian side with great interest.
