Uzbektelecom to increase external internet bandwidth up to 100 Gbps
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbektelecom, national telecommunication operator of Uzbekistan, is planning to increase bandwidth of external internet up to 100 Gbps in 2013, the First Deputy Director-General of Uzbektelecom Kahramon Yuldoshev said.

He said that the company will implement a project “Expansion and reservation of backbone line of Uzbektelecom up to regional centers of Uzbekistan” in 2013.

Within the project, it is planned to increase bandwidth and reservation at international direction up to 100 Gbps, which will grow by 10 times.

Bandwidth and reservation at the direction to regional centers will grow four times up to 40 Gbps and district centers – 10 times up to 10 Gbps.

Total speed of access to international information networks grew by 61% in 2012 and made up 7780 Mbps.
