New tariffs for universal telecommunication services were approved by the Ministry for development of information technologies and communication.

A monthly subscription fee for use of home telephone in city at time payment system will grow from 1,700 soums to 2,040 soums and in rural areas from 715 soums to 900 soums.

At the subscription payment system, the subscription fee is 2,690 soums in city (now – 2,239 soums) and 1,325 soums in rural areas (1,060 soums). The tariffs were also increased for organizations.

The cost of each minute over limit (180 minutes) for all categories of users rose from 7 soums to 9 soums.

The coefficient of 0.10 to tariff will be applied to the cost of local calls from 22:00 to 7:00. At the same time, calls to emergency services, technical service, bureau of repair, order of international calls are free.

Uzbektelecom also will increase tariffs for international telephone communication to some CIS states. The price of one minute call to the Central Asian states (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan) will grow from 400 soums to 500 soums.

The subscribers will have to pay 625 soums per minute of communication with Caucasus states (Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia, now – 500 soums) and 550 soums to Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Moldovia (now 440 soums).

Uzbektelecom also increased tariffs for sending telegrams within Uzbekistan and CIS. The price for one word of ordinary telegram rose from 31 soums to 37 soums for population. The payment for urgent telegram grew from 153 soums to 184 soums. Telegraph duty for all types and category of telegrams rose from 153 soums to 184 soums.
