Uzbektelecom connects 540 houses to FTTB network in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbektelecom joint stock company expanded coverage area of its FTTB (Fiber To Building) network in Tashkent city.

According to the company, some 540 houses were connected to the FTTB network and now they can use Internet via FTTB technology.

The company recalled that its branch TShTT laid 598.8 km of optic-fiber line to connect 2,075 buildings to FTTB network in 2012.

Some 873 buildings in Tashkent city received opportunity to use services via FTTB network as 22,344 ports were installed.

Uzbektelecom plans to continue to expand its FTTB network in 2013. The company plans to attract loan of China Development Bank for US$9.01 million to introduce FTTx technology.
