The tender announcement said that both foreign and local companies, including small and private businesses, can participate in the tender.

The maximum price for equipment, purchased within tender, makes up US$900,000. The tender proposals will be received till 26 March 2012.

As earlier reported, Uzbektelecom joint stock company is planning to start o sell netbooks for students in installments.

Director-General of the company Mahsum Mahmudov said the students will be able to pay for netbooks during their studies at university and they can pay from their stipends.

He said that netbooks will be connected to Internet via Uzmobile modems, which work on CDMA 450 standards.
