Shohjahon Abbasov, who hit a treble in the Uzbeks 7-0 win over Kyrgyzstan in the opening match of their campaign on Monday, took his individual tally to seven in two games, while team-mate Mukhiddin Odilov netted a four-minute hat-trick as India were brought crashing back to earth after wins over Kyrgyzstan (7-0) and Bahrain (2-1).
Abbasov broke the deadlock in the 19th minute before a quick-fire treble from Odilov took the score to 4-0 by the half-hour mark with goals in the 26th, 27th and 30th minutes.
Defender Ibrokhim Abdullaev added a fifth in the 41st minute and there was still time for Abbasov to add another before the break, with the striker getting his second and Uzbekistan's sixth one minute into first-half stoppage time.
India held out until the 61st minute when Abassov completed his hat-trick and he rounded off the scoring with his fourth of the match in the 68th minute, 60 seconds after substitute Alisher Mirzaev had made it 8-0 just four minutes after coming on to replace Otabek Shukurov.
In Wednesday's later match at the Transportation Institute Stadium Tajikistan consigned Kyrgyzstan to their third successive defeat, with first-half goals from Komron Tursunov (17th) and Amirbek Juraboev (33rd) sealing the Tajiks 2-0 triumph.
