Uzbekistan’s young athletes leave for Singapore
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
A delegation of Uzbekistan left for Singapore on Monday, 9 August, to participate in the First Youth Olympic Games, which will be held from 14 to 26 August 2010.
More than 3,000 young athletes aged 14 to 18 from around the world will compete in 30 types of sports for 184 sets of medals.
Uzbekistan will represent 21 athletes in the Games. They will compete in rhythmic gymnastics, artistic gymnastics, taekwondo, athletics, judo, boxing, table tennis, shooting, swimming, weightlifting, and others.
