Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — 19 April marked a historic milestone for Uzbek ice hockey as the national team claimed a decisive victory at the IIHF World Championship Division IV.

In the tournament's final match, Team Uzbekistan crushed Malaysia with a commanding score of 18–3, securing first place in the standings and earning promotion to Division III, Group B, for the next World Championship.

Throughout the competition, the Uzbek players demonstrated a high level of preparation and skill, outperforming teams from Armenia, Indonesia, Kuwait, Iran, and Malaysia.

This triumph adds to the growing list of achievements in Uzbek ice hockey. Earlier this year, the Uzbekistan U18 team also captured gold in its division at the IIHF U18 World Championship in Thailand, earning promotion to the next tier.
