Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy Denies Rumors About Closure of Methane Filling Stations on the Fergana–Tashkent Highway

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy has issued a statement in response to social media reports claiming that “all methane filling stations on the section from Andijan to the Pass have been shut down.”

“On 5 August, from 09:30 to 11:14, scheduled maintenance was carried out on a power transmission line supplying electricity to four methane filling stations in the Pap District. During this period, the operation of these stations was temporarily suspended,” the Ministry of Energy reported.

The ministry added that the repair work was conducted in accordance with established procedures and coordinated with the management of the filling stations.

It emphasized that all methane filling stations along the route from the Fergana Valley to Tashkent are currently operating at full capacity without interruptions.
