Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 September 2024, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov held a meeting with Sekhon Manraj, co-CEO of Templeton Asset Management Ltd, on the sidelines of the 9th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of providing technical and consulting support by the company for the implementation of large projects in Uzbekistan, as well as the creation of joint financing mechanisms for mutually beneficial initiatives.

Sekhon Manraj highly praised the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, noting that the impressive results of the country inspire confidence among major players in the international asset market. It was particularly emphasized that holding the AIIB Annual Meeting for the first time in Central Asia, specifically in Uzbekistan, is a clear testament to the successful transformations taking place.
