Uzbekistan’s military team wins convincingly at international competition

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The team from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan triumphed at the 8th International "Spirit of Command" competition, held in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The competition took place at the National Counter-Terrorism Training Center of the 22nd Army Corps of the Pakistan Armed Forces in the city of Pabbi.

A total of 31 teams participated, including 17 international teams from 14 countries — Uzbekistan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia (4 teams), the United States, Morocco, China, Jordan, Iraq, Turkey, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Qatar, as well as 14 teams representing the host country.

The competition required participants to cover a route of up to 90 kilometers within 60 hours, passing through seven control points based on azimuth.

At each stage, soldiers were tasked with special assignments, including elements of tactical and special training, shooting, medical assistance, engineering support, establishing communication, actions in conditions involving weapons of mass destruction, as well as solving military topography tasks and completing unforeseen tests.

The Ministry of Defense team of the Republic of Uzbekistan started from the 17th control point, but demonstrated a high level of preparation, discipline, and unity, completing the route in 46 hours and 44 minutes, finishing in first place.

A notable record was set when the Uzbek military team evacuated a simulated wounded soldier weighing 90 kg, fully equipped, over a distance of 5 kilometers in just 34 minutes and 15 seconds.

The final results of the competition were as follows:

1st place — Team of the Republic of Uzbekistan (result: 95%) 2nd place — Team of the People's Republic of China (74%) 3rd place — Team of the Kingdom of Bahrain (65%)

At the closing ceremony, the Uzbek team was awarded gold medals and received high praise from the organizers and participants.

The performance of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s military on such a prestigious international stage was a compelling demonstration of their professionalism, spirit, and loyalty to military traditions.

They represented their country with honor, displaying qualities worthy of descendants of such great historical figures as Timur the Great and Jalal ad-Din Manguberdi, justifying the trust placed in them.
